Born and raised in Montana, Joshua Frank now lives on the West Coast and spends as much time as possible exploring what natural wildness is left, whether in water or on land.
Joshua is the Managing Editor at CounterPunch, a researcher for CoalSwarm and an award-winning environmental journalist. He is the author of Left Out! How Liberals Helped Reelect George W. Bush. Additionally, Joshua co-edited Red State Rebels: Tales of Grassroots Resistance in the Heartland with Jeffrey St. Clair.
Joshua Frank and Jeffrey St. Clair are currently working on the forthcoming book, Heat Stroke: Earth on the Brink and recently edited Hopeless: Barack Obama and the Politics of Illusion, published by AK Press in 2012.
His work appears regularly at CounterPunch.org, Seattle Weekly, OC Weekly among other reputable media outlets. Joshua’s work is also supported by the Nation Institute. He holds a graduate degree in Environmental Conservation from New York University.
